We have a unique location – right in the middle of Silkeborg city, with the Guden River (Gudenå) in our backyard! We are surrounded by forests and some of Denmark’s cleanest swimming lakes. The area has many cycling and walking routes which are only 150 m from the hostel. The mountain bike trail is 500 m away, and the train/bus station is only a 400 m walk. We are close to the pedestrian zone, shopping, dining, and have a jetty in our garden for canoeing, kayaking, and outrigging. We are about a ten minute walk from the vibrant harbour area where Hjejlen sails on the lakes, and close to Himmelbjerget, one of Denmark’s highest points.
Nature is right here – the City is right here. Our location provides a great opportunity to combine the city’s many options and attractions with beautiful, relaxing, and challenging outdoor experiences. On wheels, on foot, in a hammock, or on the water.
