One of Denmark's cleanest bathing lakes, located by the main road (Horsensvej), only approx. 1 km from our hostel. Almindsø has three public bathing beaches:

East and West are the "organised" lake baths with lovely sandy beaches and changing rooms.

Aggerholm is the old "German bathing beach" - i.e. built by the Germans during the Second World War. It has no special facilities – apart from waste racks…

A path system makes it easy to get to all three beaches.

The trip around Almindsø is very beautiful. The route is approx. 4 km and very suitable as a walking and running route.
